What makes me tick
Personal Profile
I love writing (of course) but have never really dreamed of writing the next Great American Novel. I write mainly because I love to think, to make the intangible tangible by applying the perfect word to the right use. Structuring thoughts—stories, pitches, stances, musings—into something with real texture and heft and arc. Something useful that helps build connections or guide decisions.
But when I'm not chewing on a pen, gazing at the cedar planks on my ceiling while doing slow circles in my chair, you can find me with my family. Our 5-year-old twins keep us plenty active—but even without their help I've always loved being outside: fishing, hiking, golfing, hunting, camping. When I'm indoors, you'll probably find me holding a sauté pan or book. Or, let's be honest, a 5-year-old.
Guilty pleasures: paranormal shows, Tuna Helper, sword-and-sandal movies
